The device is still avaible as a standart HID device and u can get value.
Thanks for your fast answer !

I suppose that the problem is due to the software itself : Bidule.
The HID devices are well listed, 1 SpaceNavigator and 2 RBC9 MouJoyKey, but there is no value available.

I have asked in the Bidule's forum and will tell you what is the answer...

B4 "calibrate" joystick , have u create a Laoyut with Joystick Axis ???

even if u don t need a joystick , it s only to try to find what happens.

if u create a Layout , are u sure this layout is the current in use ?

to be sure , turn Off autoswitch , and switch manualy to the desired layout.

u tell me if u turn off my app , Inventor worsks fine, btw my Exe does only 2 things , 1) edit/create layout , 2) switch between them.

The job is done by the driver, exe running or not.

If u got problem when u run inventor, it means u have an active Layout , and probably with "Binds" perturbing the standart move in this app. ie , mouse move or shortcut key going opposing to Space move in the app.

could export ur layout and post it ... so i could look in and search for a "anormal" process.

better way , go to
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\RBC9SpaceNavigator\Layout]

and export registry ... post it , so i ll have all ur driver environment.

to test Joystick , doawnload the file "Standart Joystick" http://rbc.duckinegg.com/

in edit layout , create a new layout, right clic on it and "import"

turn off autoswitch

clic "Apply"

and now , with the systray menu , use "switch Layout" to select this new one.

go to ur game controler manager

go to calibration , clic "reset default" and calibrate. (check the show value checkbox)

Edit : a question , when u try to calibrate ur joystick , is the "Edit Layout" windows closed ? when this windows is open , the driver turn off all information exept the original SpaceNav values , so , no Joystick , no mouse and No key when u have this screen running.

Now that i did, i can calibrate it, and it works. :D

Now Inventor works fine even with youre app on, created a Inventor lay out with no binds and a Opera lay out with the desired binds.

ok , what i think so ... :)

for my use i have a "Dummy Layout" with no bind , where i put all the app i want the driver turn off binds ... (3Dx , GoogleEarth ... )

Hi Cedric,

I just finished the first SpacePilot test.
Not sucessful so far:

First the hardware installation routine (of windows XP SP2) needed 5 minutes of trying to copy a "hidusb.sys" to its place and showed an error message afterwards. On the second go it was "sucessfull" and promted me to reboot.
I ended with a black screen and had to rollup to the restorepoint of before.

Hope this helps to get things sorted.

TIP:
If one downloads the files and are named "unknow", add the ZIP extention, thus rename them to "unknown.zip".

Thanks for the GREAT driver.

QUESTION:
Any chance of opensourcing them so we all can improve and modify them?

Hi RBC9,

for me all works fine so far :D!
Only one wish for now:

Could you please make your layout-window fit on my tablet's screen with 600*800 pixels?

As large as it is now, i always have to make my changes with a remote destop session because the window doesn't show all controls anymore (especially the buttons at the bottom). So i can't save my new configuration when i use the tablet.

Thanks and best regards

strange , i think the duration is not from my driver , cause it does nothin till it receive Ok from windows , the long time should come from windows system rollback system.
