How to Run Macro in SW 2007?

Post by beerbatter »

Just got a SpacePilot and love it so far.

I recorded a macro in SolidWorks and saved it under the name CenteredBox.swp

How do I assign this macro to one of the hot buttons on the SpacePilot.
I would like the macro to automatically run when I hit the SpacePilot button.

I figured out how to assign the command "Run Macro" to a button, but can't figure out how to assign the actual macro name that I recorded.

Any help appreciated.
Thanks

Hi beerbatter,
You will need to use the "Button Mapping" panel of the "3Dcontrol" add-in in SolidWorks. The commands available on that panel are those that can be found on toolbars.
To have your macro available on that panel, simply add it to one of the toolbars and assigned to the desired button using the "Button Mapping" panel.
Please do post here if that helped (or not).

Nuno,

Awesome! It works.

Thank you so much for you help.
I didn't think about having to create a menu item first so that I could then assign it to a button.

Best regards,

- Noel
