Has anyone had this issue:
I plug the space explorer into a USB port on my Windows XP box and click the 3Dconnexion shortcut to activate the device - the blue LED's turn on and everything works. When I restart windows the space explorer doesn't reactivate, even if I manually start the 3Dconnexion software. Instead I have to unplug the device from the USB port and reconnect it, then start the software and then the device lights up again.
The 3Dconnexion shortcut is in the startup folder so it should auto launch. The problem seems to be that the USB port isn't repolling. I've tried plugging the device into several different USB ports and get the same behavior each time. This is an odd problem - my USB mouse and camera all stay active across restarts but the space explorer has to be disconnected and reconnected.
Any suggestions? Thanks

Hi 13dcon,
it seems to be a hardware-related problem.
