Support for trueSpace 7.6

Post by splinters »

I realised that this topic was raised in a different, and probably wrong, thread.

Anyhow, are there plans to support tS7.6 in your drivers? It is becoming very popular know it is free and Virtual Earth now uses the 3D connexion stuff. tS7 was bought by Microsoft to enable creation of assets for Virtual Earth so it does make sense.

Their realtime modelling environment would be perfect for 3D devices...you could even do a package with the software and call it the trueSpace Navigator.

Kidding aside, I would love to see support for this program.

Any news on this? tS is now available to a much broader market and I believe this would be a popular addition to its feature set; especially the real time stuff.

Just think what a great marketing tool it would be as well;

The trueSpacenavigator.

Hi splinters,

3Dconnexion just issued an press release about 3DxLabs and trueSpace:

3DxLabs from 3Dconnexion to Foster Ongoing Collaboration with 3D Communities

We regret not replying to your post earlier but we are unable to discuss on-going company matters until such time that they are in the public domain.

TRUESPACE PLUGIN RELEASED 15/1/09

Post by Dochie »

I purchased the SpaceNavigator with the pluging being advertised on the Caligari Web site . I have tried to load the plugin into truespace but the plugin has a RSX suffix and is not recoginised . I have tried renaming it it a tsx but still no luck . I now have a rather expensive paper weight . I called the support people who told me it is not on there software compatability list . As it is still in development .
