New to Blender and Space Navigator PE

Post by Grandpa Tom »

Hoping someone can help me please.

I have the latest version of Blender installed with the Space Navigator plugin installed in the plugin folder.

I can only zoom in and out. I have assigned the buttons as directed in the readme text that came with the plug in.

The problem might be with my skill level in Blender, but I have been unable to correct the issue with my research and practice with Blender.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi,

Which version of Windows/Blender/3DxSoftware do you use?

Hi

I have Windows XP Professional version 2002, Service Pack 2 and all the latest updates; I am using blender version 2.46; 3DxSoftware - release 3.6.7, driver 6.6.1, and Firmware Version 4.04; and the latest Blender plugin located in the plugin folder.

Please open the 3DConnexion control panel and go to the "advanced" tab. Are all axes checked?

If so - are you able to rotate using your normal mouse and have you tried to rotate in the Cube 3D demo?
(Start->Programs->3DConnexion->3DConnexion 3DxWare -> demos)

Thanks Robert.

Yes all axes are checked.

I can make the 3D Cube move on all axes.

I wonder if I am not selecting the object correctly in Blender?

Thanks for your help!

Tom
