I can use my SP to move around okay, but it shows Any Application on the LCD screen. When I go into PS it shows the title fine there.
Also, where is the search button; I looked and looked but couldnt see.

Configurations are context-sensitive.

Configurations are context-sensitive; user context, application context, and application mode context. So if a different user is signed in, he has his own set of configurations. If the user switches between applications, each of his applications will have a different set of configurations. And even within an application, different modes may have their own set of configurations.
So you will see different configurations change as you change these contexts.
What are you searching for? Different configurations? The 'Config' button on the Space Pilot will roll through different configurations for the context you currently find yourself within.
