NEW Installations

Post by KrullCat »

Upon receiving my new (PE) Edition Space Navigator;

I unpacked the device, then;

1. Instead of turning off my computer, I immediately plugged my new
SN into a USB port and it was recognized.

NOTE: If your computer is not PNP enabled or your hardware or OS
does not support PNP, you must follow the installation guide
and turn off your machine prior to plugging in the SN.

2. Installed the Software by placing the pre-packaged installation
CD into the ROM drive. Easy and quick installation.

NOTE: The SN does not, or will not, light up until you have installed
the support software included with your new 3D mouse.

3. During software installation I was prompted to close a couple of
applications which were still running, 3DS Max & Photoshop CS3
Extended. Presumably because the installer had to hook in some
support DLL's into the software.

4. Reviewed what the Installer had thrown onto my system and found the
following listing under the new "3Dconnexion" folder in my program
start menu. See thumbnail below for list.
