Does your SpaceNavigator make clicking sounds?

Hi to all. New here.

I tried Space Navigator at a colleague's last year and saw some interesting uses for it in music production.

I just received mine last week and it seems to make very soft clicking sounds (and occasionally a louder one) as I move the controller through it's various axes. I find it annoying.

Is this normal or is this unusual? Is your SpaceNavigator always dead quiet?

The "clicking" sounds that you are hearing....are they mechanical or electronic sounds?
The Space Navigator should be silent in it's operation.
Do you have the Space Navigator SE or PE?
