I'm extremely displeased with the length of time it takes to put out a new driver. It makes your product nothing more then a irrelevant novelty. Max 2018 has already been updated to 2018.1 and there is still no driver. You have pre-release access to software builds and should be on top of development. As such, I can't recommend this paper weight to anyone. Please correct the situation. If it sounds harsh, it's because it is; we're professionals and expect a level of service that warrants what we've paid for the products.

Hi 3dconnexion team.

Is there a beta available to test please?

We are now two months after the release of 3ds Max 2018 and it would be really useful to get any kind of idea what is happening with driver development.

Many thanks for anything you can do to assist us, having to export back to 3ds Max 2017 before making any kind of use (including demonstrations) using our collection of 3dconnexion devices is getting a little bit awkward to justify.

For future releases it would be great if you had worked with Autodesk to "pre-test" any drivers so they were available when the new product release is (not sure if that "pre-testing" currently happens, but I would be big supporter of that approach).

Cheers,

John

Where is the driver for 3d Max 2018?
Today, I got an appointment at Autodesk University in October in Darmstadt.
3DCONNEXION is listed as a main sponsor.
I do not think 3DCONNEXION ignores Max 2018.
What's going on in this company?

Needless to say 3Dconnexion, we're all VERY anxious to have our relatively expensive hardware work with 3ds Max 2018.

I'd be very surprised if 3Dconnexion wasn't part of the ADN thus having access to beta versions of Autodesk applications so that their devices would be ready on release day.

It works in AutoCAD 2018 and Navisworks 2018.

Very right. Where is the response from 3dconnexion?
Does anybody in this company read this forum?

Hurra,
Today I got a beta version of the driver for 3d Max 2018 and it works.
I do not know if I can pass this version.
Please contact 3dConnexion technical support.
Despite long wait: Thanks to 3dconnexion.

Anyone willing to share their Beta driver? I wrote tech support two days ago and no response. I'm in a crunch and really need my SpacePilot. Can anyone share today?

Hello RobH,

did you contact TechSupport with the same email address that you are using for the forum? I wasn't able to find your request. How did you contact them? Did you call them or did you fill the web form?
