does the Space Navigator support Graphisoft Archicad in 2D as well, or only 3D, (which is kind of pointless since most of the work is done in the 2D environment). Don't argue that its made for 3D navigation, it supports AutoCAD 2D and every engineering CAD in 2D environment since ages.

Unfortunately, as far as we know, Graphisoft has only implemented support for navigation in 3D environment. It may be helpful if you could contact Graphisoft directly.
I am sure they are interested in receiving feedback from their customers.
