SNav Keyboard Issue

Post by Cherkey »

Hello all,
So I figure I'll try to update my driver...bad move. The new driver didn't work on this 'legacy' device so I'll just go back to the driver that was working. Nope, no dice there either. Something really got hosed with this new driver. Is there anyway to completely wipe out all reference to 3dx, logitech, this HID so I can make it think I'm starting an install from scratch?
TIA

Cherkey,

What error message are you receiving when you try to install the correct
Legacy driver?

Im assuming you have unistalled 3dconnexion.
Located the 3dconnexion folder in C: and deleted if it is present.
This will be a safer way of removing the registry key.

Here is the windows install shield cleanup tool.
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?kbid=290301

Must have full admin rights to use this also only uninstall 3Dconnexion nothing else.

When you install this application to launch it it will be located under prgram files.
double click on Windows install shield cleanup
locate 3dconnexion click remove.
If you find a file with just [] you can remove this as well it is a registry key that did not get removed from a previous installation of an application.

Next try installing your Legacy driver.

Thanks for info, but still no go. I used the Install Shield cleanup and removed 3DXWare and removed folders from Program Files.

"No 3D Motion Controller could be detected"

I know the device is working, it works on another machine.

Shutdown the pc.
Unpluge the device.
Bootup the pc
Windows should not detect the HID.
After bootup plug in the device windows should now detect it correctly.
Start 3d driver.
