horrible blue LEDS go on too often

I hate blue LEDS in general, bright blue LEDS even more and blue LEDS that believe they have the right to shine in my eyes from my desktop the most.

I recently bought a Space Navigator for a.o. Sketchup and Google Earth under Windows XP. It was shocking to see that it was much brighter lit than the faint blue glow in the pictures on the 3Dconnexion website. Fortunately it took just seconds to find the Enable LEDs toggle in the tools menu of the configuration screen.

The more shocking was it to find out that this toggle is a bit lame. After each cold or warm reboot, wake up from sleep or hibernate mode and sometimes when switching from one 3D program to another the LEDs turn back on.

It then requires going to the menu twice, first to toggle the LEDs ON !? Yes, the menu doesn't even notice that they are already brightly lit. Then again to turn them back off!

PS how about a pink version?
