SpaceNavigator & Vectorworks 2014 & Mavericks

Post by ijspaleisje »

Space Navigator & Vectorworks 2014 & Mac Mavericks. Is this combination supported or is there a way to use the mouse in vectorworks? Does someone have it working? Or did I buy beautiful blue shiny button for navigation in safari?

Hello ijspaleisje -

If there is anything different in the way Vectorworks 2014 behaves under Mavericks, it is something Vectorworks support would need to address. Only the Vectorworks developers have access to their software code.

The software that controls 3Dconnexion devices is written inside Vectorworks 2014. The 3Dconnexion driver identifies the device - all of the navigation inside the application is part of Vectorworks 2014 software code.

In this forum thread Nemetschek Vectorworks support discusses using 3Dconnexion devices in Vectorworks 2014.
