Maya LT Support

I am unable to use the SpaceMouse with Maya LT.
I have symlinked the 2014 plugin folder to 2014LT so maya can see the plugin,

On opening the plugins in maya LT I get the following while trying to load:

// Error: The plug-in is not compatible with this application (3DxMayaResources) //
// Error: The plug-in is not compatible with this application (3DxMaya) //

Please check with Autodesk. From what i can find Maya LT does not currently support third party plug-ins
