I have installed the latest drivers on my Mac OS X 10.8.3 - (uninstalled and re-installed it to debug). I can play with the puzzle and Timble Sketch up, but Maya 2014 does not seem to respond to the mouse - Space Pilot Pro.
Tech Support wrote:If typing “MagellanStartup” [without quotes] at the Maya command line returns
an error, check that you are using the current 3DxMacware software and if not ,
download it from from our web site under Service –Download Driver.
If you are already using the current version, close Maya and run the
3Dconnexion .dmg again to install the plugin. Open Maya and go to
Window->Settings|Preferences->Plug-In Manager to check that 3DxMaya.bundle is
loaded
MagellanStartup gives me a error - // Error: line 1: Cannot find procedure "MagellanStartup".
I do not see "3DxMaya.bundle" or anything related at "Window->Settings|Preferences->Plug-In Manager" (screenshot attached) . I do not have a usersetup.mel either.
Tech Support wrote:Confirm the plug-in 3DxMaya.bundle is in
Users-->Shared-->Autodesk-->maya-->2014-->plug-ins
I did not have the folders beyond "Users-->Shared-->Autodesk"

C3DxButtonEditor.mel
Same as above. I cannot find C3Dx*.mel in the mentioned folder or anywhere else.
Yes. The tech support emailed me a few files that I had to manually put into a few folders and restart Maya 2014 and all was well. They also told me that I was the only person who had such a problem. The installer usually worked to set up the plugin.
Hi All,

I am not sure if I should be distributing the files - specially here. I have sent a mail to the tech support asking them if it's okay and suggested them to post it here officially. I'll get back when they reply.
for now it looks as if this is a problem specific to your machine. Let’s try a “manual” installation.
Find attached a zip file (3DxMayaPlugin_Files.zip) that includes three folders: icons, plug-ins and scripts. These have the files necessary for the support of the 3D mouse in Maya. Please copy these folders to /Users/Shared/Autodesk/maya. Additionally please copy the attached file 3DxMaya.bundle to the folder /Users/Shared/Autodesk/maya/2014/plug-ins. Then restart Maya 2014.
Please let me know if this works for you. Thanks!
Regards,
Uta
The Tech support sent me two files -
3DxMayaPlugin_Files.zip
3DxMaya.bundle
These are archived as a single zip file here. If a folder does not exist on your computer, create it.
