Rotating around a selected set in Mac OS X

Post by JabbaTheNut »

I have a SpaceMouse Pro with Moutain Lion and 3DxMacWare 1.7.2. How do I set "Use Selected Set" to enable me to rotate around a selection set?

Currently, I can only rotate around the scene (very annoying and will cause me to return the product). I cannot find the property or setting to do this.

Note: I have also tried 3DxMacWare 10 Beta 9. It also does not provide the necessary setting.

Thanks

I forgot to mention that I am concerned with Maya 2013.

I resolved the issue. Apparently, I missed the pop-up menu in 3DxMacWare 1.7.2. In that menu there is the option to set rotation to the selected object.

The 3DxMacWare 10 Beta 9 does not have this option. As a result, it is unusable for me.

HI JabbaTheNut,
The 3DxMacWare 10 Beta 9 does not have this option. As a result, it is unusable for me.
The option is there, I believe. Open the popup menu (normally assigned to the "Menu" or left button) and enable the "Use Selected Item" option in the "Rotation Center" sub-menu.
