Portable Drivers possible under OSX?

Post by dpaint » Tue Oct 17, 2017 8:47 am

I have a question/feature request:

Is a portable setup possible under OSX?
there might be a way to use aliases with the way its based on BSD but I don't have much experience.

Current setup is Spacemouse (wired) and Maya 2017 with no admin access.
I'd appreciate it if somebody had a list and location of all the files the 3dconnexion driver uses and their permission levels

Hi dpaint,

the problem is the driver itself. It is a kernel extension which can only be installed with root/admin rights. On macOS you even have to reboot each time you installed a new driver.
