Space Navigator PE with Adobe Reader

Post by starby »

I have been trying to us SN PE with Adobe Reader and have had no success.
I have looked through the previous postings and followed the guidance there and still nothing.
I have tried it with both Adobe Reader 8.1.2 and 9.0.0 using the latest version of 3Dconnexion (1.5.1). I have also used the update wizard to get the latest update and the installed plug-ins. Still no success.
The information on my computer and software level is in my address.

Has anyone else had this problem?
How can I corrrect this?

By the way, SN does work flawlessly in Google earth and Sketch-up.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Reader 8 is supported while Reader 9 requires an installer update that we're working on. Check to make sure that the 3Dconnexion plugin for Reader was installed in

/Applications/Adobe\ Reader\ 8/Adobe\Reader.app/Contents/Plug-ins/3DxAcrobat3D.acroplugin

You can also right-click on "Adobe Reader.app" and select "Show Package Contents" to check this.

If the plugin is not there, rerun the installer

Next driver release is planned for August. As a temporary work-around, you can just copy 3DxAcrobat3D.acroplugin Reader 8 into the same folder for Reader 9.
