SN Error in Maya 2008

Post by jfa »

When using the Space Navigator (Standard Edition, driver v1.5.0) In Maya 2008 on OS X (10.5.3) with a tool being active (e.g. Split Polygon Tool, Extrude Tool, Append to Polygon Tool etc.) I get the following error message in the Script Editor:

// Error: No valid objects supplied to 'xform' command.

This will be repeated every time I touch the SN

Have you tried the new driver 1.5.1 ?

Does this still happen or has it been corrected?

driver v1.5.1 doesn't solve the problem

I've installed the latest driver (v1.5.1), but unfortunately, the problem persists.

We were able to reproduce the issue and we've filled a report with Autodesk about it. We're now looking for ways to prevent the message from coming up while Autodesk reviews the issue.

Thanks for reporting this.

same error in 1.5.2

Unfortunately, the error still occurs with the latest driver v1.5.2.

So what is the current state in resolving this issue?

A work-around is in process and will be part of the next Mac driver release which should be available later next week.
