Photoshop cs3, cant mouse click when using 3d spacenavigator

Post by yellowblur »

Weirdest thing.

I'm using Photoshop CS3 and I'm having problems when I use my mouse and the 3D space navigator.

As soon as I touch the 3D SN, I loose the ability to click on my main canvas and affect my image with any of the tools (which I can still select), and I can no longer click on the top menu bar or any of the 'save' functions when I try to quit. I have to use keyboard shortcuts to quit photoshop and restart.

The mouse remains unaffected on all other applications and the OS itself.

When I restart Photoshop, I have no problems again, until I touch the 3D space navigator.

I've tried uninstalling the driver, and re-installing it, to no avail.

Anyone have the same problem or suggestions?

Much appreciated.

I'm running a 2 x 2.66 Dual core intel Xeon running 10.4.11

It's possible that the SpaceNavigator is sending data even after you stop using it. Can you open up the 3Dconnexion preference pane and do the following:

- Select Photoshop from the list of applications
- Click on "Calibrate"
