SpaceMouse not working in SketchUp 2017

Post by christofferbengt »

I just received and installed my new SpaceMouse Wireless. I have installed the newest drivers and can see that my SpaceMouse is indeed detected (see the screenshot). However, it is not detected by my Sketchup 2017 installation. The Mouse does work in the demos, so I know the connection is there. Do any of you have a suggestion to what to do?

I'm running Mac OS X - El Capitan.

Thanks!

Were you able to get resolution to your issue?
I am having a similar issue. Space Mouse not working in SketchUp 17 17.1.173 It was but I think an OS X update has bit me.
This is not a new mouse. I have been using this for several years.
I have uninstalled and re-installed the drivers with no success. I am using latest driver available 10.4.3.
Running El Capitan 10.11.6

Mouse works fine in the demo apps and in other apps.
I am not able to get it back up and working in SketchUp.

Any insight or suggestions are appreciated.

Hi both,

have you verified if the extension 3DxSketchUp is installed and enabled? In SketchUp go to Window -> Extension Manager and verify if you see 3DxSketchUp listed and enabled.

If this is not the case it might help if you do the "Install Plug-ins" from the System Prefs -> 3Dconnexion -> Tools.

Let me know what you find out.

I looked in the Extension Manager (in SketchUp) and sure enough there was the "3DxSketchUp" on the list. "disabled" however! So I enabled it and now everything is honkey dory!

Thank you so much for the assistance!!
