Maya 2016 SP6 + 3dxWare 10.4.0 = rotation center not working

Rotation center feature doesn't work with any combination on 3dxWare 10.4.0.

This feature was working perfectly in some quite recent driver that supported maya 2016 SP6.

Please fix ASAP

I backtracked versions as far as needed to find the working one for maya 2016 SP6

version 3DxWareMac_v10-2-5_r2142 works like it should

I am using macbook pro with el capitan 10.11.6 (15G31)

I am curious. Does rotation center work for other uses with any other driver than 3DxWareMac_v10-2-5_r2142?

If you have anything that as big so the center of grid goes out of the screen, the rotation comes very annoying if this feature is not working since the grid center remains rotation point. When you use "use selected" option, the center of rotation is the center of selected object. This works also in vertex, edge and face sub-level as well.

This feature is A MUST for proper 3D mouse control


A small 3Dconnexion logo is shown as rotation center when the feature works.

This is not working in latest driver 10.4.1 in maya 2016, 2016.5 or in 2017

Yep, i get this too.
Isn't working the center blue dot of rotation.
Put it's working.

blue small 3dconnexion logo is shown in the center of rotation when it is working.

Hi all,

we are tracking this problem with our internal bug number #7258. If possible you should install 3DxWareMac 10.2.5 which you can download from our archive. We will post here if the fix is available.

Note that 10.2.5 won't work if you have our newest model - the SpaceMouse Enterprise, if you are working with Onshape or if you have Maya 2016.5 or 2017.

Latest driver update 10.4.2 does not fix the rotation center issue in maya 2016, 2016-5 or in 2017

The rotation centering works better than ever in Maya 2016 for Windows, but continues to centre itself only on 0,0,0 on Mac.

Please help us 3D Connexion, you're our only hope.

with driver 10.2.5 this feature works perfectly in maya 2016 SP6 on Mac. The most annoying thing is that the newer drivers than 10.2.5 rotation center does not work any maya version... Then again... the UI changes in maya 2017 mac version are just horrible...

I wonder if we have christmas happy this year....

Good news!!!!

The driver version 10.4.3 works as it should in maya 2016 SP6 and in Maya 2017 with OSX version 10.11.6

The rotation center icon is not visible in maya 2017 at all with any settings but that does not have any affect to the actual behavior. The rotation center feature works and that is what counts
The driver works also with Rhino 3D, 3D coat and with Autodesk Fusion 360 as expected

It seems that we got a merry Christmas after all!
