SpaceNavigator and IOS 10.10.1 ?

Post by peterw »

Hi,
I have just bought a SpaceNavigator but I can't get it to work with my iMac27 IOS 10.10.1
Where can I find a correct driver?

Hi peterw,

our latest release driver for Mac is 3DxWareMac 10.2.1 and this version supports OS X 10.1. You can find the driver on our download site. Is this the version that you have installed or do you have a previous one?

I have OS X Yosemite, 10.10.2, on a Macbook Pro Retina.

I just bought the SpaceMouse Wireless to use with my Mac and Sketchup 2014 or 2015.

I loaded the latest 3DXWARE driver, 10.2.1. All functions worked, EXCEPT the cursor. It was frozen on the screen. I could not get it to move anywhere. I could zoom around in Sketchup 2015, but no cursor movement at all. I could still move the cursor with the touch pad.

When I remove the drivers, I can move the cursor all around the screen, but I don't have the other movements for which I bought the 3D mouse.

I would have thought that more attention would have been given to the needs of the Mac and the SpaceMouse since the Mac is such an excellent graphics machine.

Please help me. I may be forced to return my SpaceMouse for refund because it is un-usable on my Mac.

Thank you.

Hi JRobert,

the 3D mouse is supposed to move the 3D object only. You need a standard mouse to move the cursor. See here.
