Cinema4D R20, Space Navigator Doesn't work.

Post by varcoon » Wed Nov 07, 2018 4:40 pm

I'm using Mackbookpro touch, OS is Sierra.

I've installed cinema4D R20 Student Licensed version(newly released).

I've installed the newest driver of 3D connexion, and add the cinema 4d program in the system preferences.

In the C4d program - tool - 3D co

But My Space Navigator doesn't work in the R20.

Side Buttons are still working, But the Navigator stick movement and rotation doesn't work.

In Cinema4d R19 and Sketch Up, it still works well..

Is there Anybody else who know why it doesn't work ?

Hi varcoon,

the navigation with the 3D mouse in Cinema 4D had been implemented by MAXON. Please contact MAXON's support team and see if they can help you with a solution. In case you need help from our side with MAXON do not hesitate to contact us.

I have the same issue too. I have contacted Maxon last week but they haven't answered yet.

If you will ever get an answer from Maxon,
could you please add my wish that C4D needs the "Lock Horizon" option
which prevents from "Trackball Rotation" (banking).

I wonder that they don't have it like any other App,
especially as Trackball Rotation is deactivated in C4D by default for
any standard mouse View Navigation.

BTW,
I can't see any Problems here with my Space Mouse Enterprise nor old Space Navigator
in R19 or R20 with latest macOS Mojave on a 2013 Mac Pro.
