space pilot driver 1.2*: failed to get user

Post by massimo.ricci »

Hello,

when I launch the driver I got the same problem for the Space Pilot:

Error: 3dxsrv.c :: startupCommandLine(), authGetUser(), failed to get user

there are any news about it?
There is a beta driver that resolve it?
Can I get the beta driver?

I installed the 1.1.1 driver too, after the 1.2 driver intallation and when I launch

/etc/3DxWare/daemon/3dxsrv -d usb

i don't receive any message, so i suppose the daemon is running, but when i try the xcube demo i receive the error "No driver is running. Exit ..."

I red a post in the forum that describes the same problem for ubuntu 6.10
(viewtopic.php?t=325),
but i don't find any solution in that post.

Please help me, really need to have this solved soon!

We have a beta version of 3DxWareUnix, that handles this issue better. Please send me your operating system details and the email address where to send the driver in a private message and I can then send you this version.

I've got the same problem (failed to get user) using a space navigator under Linux (debian, kernel 2.6.18).

Could you send me the beta version of your driver ?

Thanks
