Debian (etch) error while loading shared libraries: libXm.s

Post by Roel »

I run debian (etch), downloaded latest linux version from site
http://www.3dconnexion.com/support/download_driver.php

all went well UNTILL I tried

/etc/3DxWare/daemon/3dxsrv -d usb
it gave me this error:

/etc/3DxWare/daemon/3dxsrv: error while loading shared libraries: libXm.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

tried installing libmotif or openmotif, but no luck. Same error on the cube and values test app.

Any clues?

Hi Roel,

Sorry for taking so long to reply.

Searching this Forum for "libXm" brings up this post.

You may have to install a "libmotif3" package.
