SpaceMouse Wireless init constantly when wired

Post by tenspd137 »

Hi all,

I have a spacemouse wireless I am using in Linux with Blender and it works great when used with the wireless receiver. When I plug it in with the cable though, it is detected, given a /dev node and then dropped, en detected, given a new node, and dropped. So for example, when I tail dmesg and plug the wireless in with USB as though I were going to charge it, it shows it assigning /dev/input/input0, /dev/input/input1, etc. I am just wondering if anyone has seen this, has debugging ideas, etc. I am really just worried about being able to recharge when the time comes.

Thanks!

Turns out it is the USB controller in my laptop - doesn't happen on other computers.
