Visual Basic .NET Examples for 3DxTest?

I've been working with the .SDK 3.0.2 and currently am working to assemble this into an application written in Visual Basic .NET (2013 or 2008). It seems all of the examples I can find are only written in C++ .lib files which do not import cleanly into VB.Net, .DLL's would be more helpfull. The development platform and target platforms are Windows 7 x64bit industrial machines.

Is there a simple VB.Net version of the 3DxTest program that can catch events and read each axis input? That's really all I need for now to prove out operator functionality. Help?
