Successive SI_ZERO_EVENTs.

Post by montysan »

When I stop using my 3d mouse, I get successive SI_ZERO_EVENTs in a row. While this isn't a massive problem, I wasn't expecting them and so just wanted to check this was normal, or whether I had an issue that might be causing other problems.

I'm using a Space Traveller, which I realise isn't a supported device any more, but it does seem to work with the current SDK and old drivers that do support it.

That's an issue with the 3D mouse driver, not your program. It is normally innocuous as programs will simply ignore all subsequent zero-data packets.

The new driver stack (3DxWare 10) will have that fixed.

Thanks for the reply, reassuring to know that's all it is. Just a shame my Space Traveller isn't supported with the later drivers. I am hoping I can get a newer device at some point, as I'm using one on loan at the moment.
