Will there be a mouse driver for 3D input device, ever?

Post by majeancad »

Greetings:

Is it possible to develop a driver so the 3D input device will work as a pointing device? Effectively, it will either minimize or eliminate the carpel syndrom problem, I would think.

As a mechanical designer, I have been searching for a mouse replacement for a longgggggggg... time. I tried everything currently available in the market, joystick emulation, vertical mouse, pen tablet, Contour Rollermouse Pro, Trackball etc and haven't been able to find anything that could minimize my carpel syndrom problem. I currently use a Logitech Mouseman, Spacepilot for my destop and Spacetraveler for my laptop. Is there any particular reasons you guys don't make your 3d input device work as a mouse replacement?

Your comments are greatly appreciated.

Is there any possibility that you guys could give this software a little bump and help make it compatible with Vista 64 bit? My SpacePilot just doesn't seem worth the money if I can't use it to its full potential.

Thanks
