Re: SpaceNavigatormapping axis to keys

For linux, you might want to try tinkering with this.... https://github.com/mason-larobina/spnavkbd

it looks like it might do what you are looking for, but I cannot personally say how well it works.

Re: GUI for customized Axis/Buttons

Expecting a response in less than 24hrs, especially on a weekend, might be a bit much.

Re: WHERE ARE THE PREVIOUS VERSIONS OF THE DRIVERS?

The 2012 version does not contain support for current applications so it is no longer in use. It is obvious that a 2012 driver would not contain support for 2014 applications. The problem is the assumption that everyone is using the latest version of software, with the latest mice and latest OS. I ...

Re: Re:

That creates TRUST and trust is what makes people to buy their products because they know they will be not declared outdated by the manufacturer the next year. I know I will be not buying a brand new 3Dconnexion device because I don't trust you. Maybe I would buy a second hand one if I get it cheap...

Re: Star Citizen

Star Citizen is only in the very early stages of developement.
Now is the time for the community to prod the developers to incorporate 3DMouse support into the base code.

This is not a case where 3DConnexion needs to make a plugin...

Re: No fn modifer key option when creating application profi

Probably because the 'fn' key is not considered a key-press, only as a modifier to other key-presses, done at the hardware level.

Re: Antique Spacemice Hardware/Software

Finally got my hands on a Spaceball 1003!

Will have to build an adapter cable to test it out. It's serial port is the wrong gender compared to all other serial spacemice.
I know I will need an external power supply, and IIRC it uses also non-standard pinout, so a simple gender swapper will not work.

May have bitten off more than I can chew with this one. Sadly, removal of the edit function is often one of the first anti-spam measures used by forum moderators.

Rabid, proactive, anti-spam moderators are hard to find.

Re: 3Dconnexion/Blender Beta Feedback

For a long time, we had been wanting free-flying ndof capability in Blender, and in recent releases we had finally got it.... sort of. We could finially translate and rotate at the same time. However, the center of rotation remained globally centered. If the user selected an object, and fit it to sc...

Re: Why no separate settings for camera and object control??

How about the ability to assign a button on the 3dmouse to swap between different profiles/setups in the driver itself.
Then it would not require the individual software packages to support object/camera/anything detection.
Added functionality to any application...
