Hmm, I was actually hoping it would continue to crash and we'd have more information on the crash. Right now what this tells me is PS is not processing keyboard events correctly and it's not a plug-in issue per-se.

I'll try another experiment and send it to you.

In your current configuration of zooming by pulling up or pushing down on the cap, you should be able to adjust the brush size by turning the cap clockwise or counter-clockwise like a door knob.

Be sure to select a brush type of tool. You should see the brush size change value on the Option toolbar.

You need to have at least patch CR-W-340-001 from http://www.multigen.com/support/sc_database.shtml

The officially supported devices for Mac are SpaceNavigator PE and SE. Other devices (SpacePilot, SpaceExplorer, SpaceTraveler) will work with the SDK but it's not officially supported. Furthermore, there is no LCD support for SpacePilot in the SDK.

We've been able to reproduce the issue with Reader 8.1.2 and we're investigating it. Interesting to note that it works fine with Acrobat Pro 8.1.

I'll update you as we make progress on this. Thanks for the report.

I contacted Nevercenter to see if they're interested in supporting our devices. We're more than happy to work with application developers in this regard.

For the other apps you mentioned, we will continue to pursue getting 3d mice support from them.

You can try adjusting the sensitivity for the axes that are not very responsive. The Advanced Settings tab on the driver control panel has sliders for doing this.

The error stating that MagellanStartup was not found means that the 3Dconnexion Maya files are not being loaded. Try the following troubleshooting tip Use Spotlight and search for usersetup.mel. If there are two or more of these files around, note the folder where each of the files reside. Maya woul...

Can you give me some details about your system and maya version. I've tried to duplicate this on a MacBook Pro, Mac Pro, and Power Mac using maya 8.5 and 2008 but couldn't replicate the slowdown. At one point, I left the model spinning for over 7 hours continuously with no slowdown. The only time I ...

The maya support files are part of the DMG distribution and I'm assuming you've already installed them. Can you give me some details of what is happening on your system when you run maya? Some things to look at: - Open the mel script console and see if there are any errors reported on startup - Move...

We are constantly trying to improve the list of applications that support our devices. We communicate with the software vendors and try to work with them to implement 3D mice support. Which applications do use?

Since there are two issues you reported, let's discuss both in detail. For Maya, do you see any errors in the mel script console? If no errors are reported, do you see data coming in from the device when you move the cap? If you don't see any data, type "MagellanStartup;" on the console an...

It's possible that your SpaceNavigator is "drifting" and is sending device events as if you're touching the cap even though you're not. Unplug and replug the device then go to the 3dx pref pane and click "Calibrate" on the Device Configuration tab For Maya, you can install the me...
