3Dconnexion develops the plug-in for Photoshop. We've requested from Adobe an enhancement to their API that will allow us to pan and zoom at the same time. No idea yet on when, or if, this will happen.

Photoshop CS3 support is available within 3D layers and 2D mode. In a 3D layer, you should be able to pan and zoom at the same time. If you're not able to do this, make sure "Dominant" mode is not checked on the 3Dconnexion control panel. In 2D mode, pan and zoom are individual operations ...

In ArchiCAD, you can go to View->3D Navigation Extras->3Dconnexion and toggle Camera mode on.

It's possible that the SpaceNavigator is sending data even after you stop using it. Can you open up the 3Dconnexion preference pane and do the following:

- Select Photoshop from the list of applications
- Click on "Calibrate"

As of today, the only way is to build the SL client yourself and apply a patch from http://jira.secondlife.com/browse/VWR-2516. If you can hang-on until the end of next week, I'll see if a better solution is available.

Native support for 3Dconnexion device started with Poser 7.0.2.125 for the OS X. Be sure you at least have that version.

I just tried this again and can confirm it works.
