Hallo Florian86, leider weiß ich zu wenig über HAL, um Dir die Frage ausreichend zu beantworten. Hab allerdings gesehen, daß es offensichtlich ab der ubuntu Version, die Du verwendest HAL nicht mehr geben soll. Schau mal hier oder hier . Da heißt es Ab Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid Lynx entfällt HAL komplett.

das 3Dconnexion Logo ist in der Firmware enthalten und erscheint, wenn der SpacePilot gepowert ist. Hat also nichts mit dem Treiber zu tun. Der Treiber macht dann die blauen LEDs an bei den derzeit aktuellen Geräten wenn sie welche haben.

schau doch mal in der Hilfe nach. Da gibt es ein Kapitel "Tastenkonfiguration", in dem beschrieben ist, wie Du einen Shortcut, den Du in MegaCAD benutzt auf eine Taste der 3D Maus legen kannst.

actually 3DxSoftware is supported on WinXP SP2 or higher. So your version of the operating system is supported.
But! ... the use of the 3D mouse in a virtual machine is not supported. You might have problems to pass the USB device from the host machine to the virtual machine.

Thanks again Fred! I installed the 3.10.1 driver just to see if it would duplicate the intermittent problem regardless of the device, as part of the diagnostics process, which it did.
