According to the system requirements for Mastercam X2, 3Dconnexion devices (generically referred to as Spaceball motion controllers in their documentation) are indeed supported.

Issue 4114 is RESOLVED
Hi, issue 4214 has been fixed in 3DxStudio9 (x64) v. 4.4.5. The software is now being verified. We are scheduling a point-release of 3DxSoftware on the second week of December that will include 3DxStudio9 (x64) v. 4.4.5 or higher.
