It is a plug-in specific to the support of earlier versions of AutoCAD. The plug-in which ships with 3DxSoftware supports 2007 and later.

Hello:

Please go to our driver download section of www.3dconnexion.com. After you select your product, select "Archives" and you'll find a plug-in for AutoCAD pre-2007 versions. You can use that with a SpaceExplorer.

Hi Nick:

Unfortunately, our devices do not work within the Student Design Kit of SolidWorks. They do work with the SolidWorks Student Edition software.
