Re: Qt Application Development

I am working on a piece of software that uses Qt opensource from trolltech labs, and I'm wondering if anyone out there has ever implemented support for the SpaceNavigator in an app built using Qt . I am not aware of any. I imagine your app is open source? if it is, and you have a public code reposi...

I received my SN today and I also have the problem with the QTVR demo. I only have the standard version of QT so I am unable to save any QTVR movies from the web to test in QT Player as has been suggested. The usual question: which versions do you have for: 3Dconnexion driver (System Prefs --> 3Dco...

First of all my app is a Cocoa app so I'm not sure if I could really use that Carbon code. Cocoa and Carbon can coexist very nicely. As a rule of thumb, if there are no mixed UI elements there are no big problems. More info about integrating Cocoa and Carbon here: http://developer.apple.com/documen...

The other intersting thing I noticed is that pressing down, which should change the Z axis also changes the Rx, Ry and Rz axis. Just curious about one thing: do you notice this behavior in the Axes Demo even when Dominant mode is set? Anyway, yeah, it does look like a faulty device. There shouldn't...

That's great Otto, I'll certainly take a look at your patch. The blender community has been very nice and we are happy to work together. Your contributions are certainly welcome. As mentioned on the bf-committers mailing list, there's an official project started on the blender projects site. There's...

Should Controllermate be uninstalled before the new GE friendly drivers from 3Dconnexion are installed for the Space Navigator? I haven't tried it, but there shouldn't be any problems. You shouldn't need to uninstall ControllerMate. You might just wanna disable the Controllermate configs since they...

I also found that the spacenavigator preset for Google Earth was low on sensitivity, so I raised the "Overall Speed" setting. That Speed setting is the same on all apps under the Configure drop down menu... Ettore in the sticky posts says Our 3DxMacWare v1.2.0 driver also installs a confi...

I had been passing this as my unique id for my app: 'topmod' and i just tried this and nothing changed: (UInt32)('TopMod2007') Hi Dave, you can't have an ID longer than 4 chars since in total it's a 32bit unsigned int. So as you said, let's use 'TopM'. Now, please verify this: - in your Info.plist ...

Hi Luigi, as of 1.0.2 our OS X driver supports multiple devices. It's also documented in our sdk documentation: http://www.3dconnexion.com/support/4f.php (BTW: the Windows driver does not support multiple devices.) Also, I just wanted to say thank you for adding support for the SN in that amazing ap...

Yes, I know that. But if I had known earlier (you set this page a week ago), I wouldn't have bought the SN. The problem now is how and what will you do to fill this list for mac software :) Ooops, I also missed "when" ? unfortunately I am not the right person to talk to about future plans...

Prune, John the Geek, quinn: as mentioned in other posts, we are really sorry that the website reported erroneous information. Granted, it was a (huge) bug, but it was not intentional. The Mac is the last platform for which we added support here at 3Dconnnexion. We do intend to add more applications...

Re: Non-3D Software?

Assigning scroll or the cap movements is not possible. Change that. A lot of people seem to be asking for it. If there's no other function it should default to acting like a generic input device. First of all, thank you for expressing this request. We are certainly considering all of your suggestio...
