Hi tschmidt,
We just got the installation log. Thank you for providing the data.
Did you previously have installed version 3.15.2 of 3DxSoftware, the older software suite for 3Dconnexion products? If so, how did you removed that software?

Re: Installation fails with .Net 4.5.2
I followed your instructions, but that did not help. In addition to displaying the error 1001 message, when the rollback operations are done, the setup states that it was interrupted and should be executed again. Sorry about that. Would it be possible for you to send the installation log files to o...

Re: MWM transport
One solution is to change the driver profile to use S80 and disable (or uninstall) the 3Dconnexion add-in, which listed as "3Dcontrol" in the add-in manager panel of SolidWorks. I tried this suggestion and it still didn't work. Removing (uninstalling) the add-in turns SolidWorks to a 3D m...

Re: MWM transport
Hi kchase56, In the case of SolidWorks, the transport protocol is defined in the corresponding driver profile file, SolidWorks.xml. If you are developing a SolidWorks add-in that also requires a connection to a 3D mouse driver, then it will conflict with 3Dconnexion's. One solution is to change the ...

hi Zoony,
I believe your software will need to pass an internal check list. I do not know if this information is published anywhere.
Best send a question directly to the tech support team.

Re: Installation fails with .Net 4.5.2
Hi tschmidt, I have encountered the same error (Error 1001) during the Installation of the current release (Version 10.2.3 of March 4th, 2015). Please contact me, I have already prepared an installer log file. In all likelyhood, not all the necessary .Net frameworks are installed on your system. If ...

Re: avoid "autocallibration", scaling
I'm only aware of one being available.Toolsoft wrote:Is there a list of possible transmitter devices?
I believe this is a proprietary protocol and the specification is not public.Toolsoft wrote:Which protocol uses the wireless connection?

Re: avoid "autocallibration", scaling
Hi Toolsoft, Is it possible to improve the wireless distance via feature commands? No. Is it possible to set more power for the transmitter on any way? Same answer as above: no. If you absolutely need a longer range, consider using an extension cable to bring the receiver dongle closer to the device...

Re: Is there a best way to use 3Dconnexion for object scalin
So, not sure how to set the best movement (translation and rotation) speed of the object in the scene? Is there a standard object movement speed in the scene correspond to the SpaceMouse controller cap? Please refer to the 3DxWare SDK for Windows documentation, in section "Device Information&q...

Re: Is there a best way to use 3Dconnexion for object scalin
Do you think I should not only use the SpaceMouse for view manipulation and also for the object (small boxes) manipulation? I think you can do both: if the item is selected, you can move the object around (and rotate it) with the 3D mouse. If no valid object is selected, then you can use the 3D mou...

Re: Is there a best way to use 3Dconnexion for object scalin
In CAD application, the 3D mouse is use to manipulate the "view" (think the "virtual camera" with which end-users observe the virtual scene). The pointing device is then use to make changes to the model (pick a slider and move it to change size, for example). It's a two-hand scen...

Re: Is there a best way to use 3Dconnexion for object scalin
since the SpaceMouse is made for CAD, do you know if there is a standard way in the 3Dconnexion usage about changing the size of the model? CAD is just one application. 3D mice are great for any 3D editing application. The 3D mouse "motion" data are just a sort of "analog" axis....

Re: Is there a best way to use 3Dconnexion for object scalin
Not sure what you mean by "size". Pushing cap backward/forwards will move the view/camera nearer or farther (depends on application and/or navigation mode) to the model (the teapot). If you bring a camera (or "eye" position) closer to a model, the "size" drawn on the di...

Re: Rotation centre in Solid Edge ST7
Hi jonathan.holvey,
See if you can use the "Select Rotation Point" command ("3Dconnexion Properties" panel for button programing, "Solid Edge" > "3Dcontrol" category). When activate the command allows users to "pick" a point in activated part.
