AAARRRGGHHHH! Again and again YOUR CUSTOMERS ask for a generic driver and again and again you point them to other software houses to do YOUR JOB. Can't you see that we don't just want to use the controller in specific applications? So you produce an API, great for high end apps like CAD etc. that be...

How can I change the USB port assigned to my SpacePilot?
Hi all, Ok, I have been trying to install RBC9's driver but failed miserably. I did notice however, some strange behaviour related to that festival of fun. I originally installed my SP on a USB port directly connected to the motherboard (Asus A8N32 SLI Deluxe) and it installed fine, used it for ages...

Thanks for the reply Eric. Nice to know it's not a fault on my part that is preventing it from working. Hopefully 3Dx will see sense sometime soon and release a generic driver (or tell us why it's impossible). Anyway, for now I have uninstalled the RBC driver and will wait and see what the future br...

Have a look at: http://www.3dconnexion.com/docs/SpaceExplorer_Datasheet.pdf There is a comparisson chart on the datasheet which will tell you all you need to kno...

Vista Ultimate 32bit Ok, I figured out that I just install the setup file. All goes well until I change the driver to the RBC9 one. On four occasions I have tried, the driver installs ok but has a note saying the device cannot start. On another occasion, I got a BSOD at the end of the driver change ...

Re: driver
yea you bet it does Space Pilot works just fine :] I'm getting confused now.... Q. Does this driver work with the Spacepilot in Vista 32bit? Q. Using this Driver, does it affect "built in" support i.e. does it interfere with Solidworks 2008 or Max native 3Dx support (for example). Q. Is i...

I'm a programmer and will download the SDK and give it a shot. Isn't it sad that you have to do this? We have one of the most innovative pieces of hardware, crying out to have a driver which lets us, the users use it in all sorts of innovative ways yet it is left to those very users to come up with...
