Only way I can reproduce this is to switch from object mode to camera mode and then back to object mode. In that situation, the center of rotation goes back to the origin as intended. /Library/Frameworks is the recommended place for 3rd party frameworks. Call RegisterConnexionClient with mode = kConnexionClientModeTakeOver and mask = kConnexionMaskAxis.
