John,

What happens when you start the demos?
What OS are you using?
Were there any error messages when installing the software?
Do you have Admin permissions to install software?

Check your Form Z cd there should be a plugin for the 3D device.
Otherwise you can contact Form Z and they will direct you to the plugin
They will need to know what version of Form Z and Windows OS.

The coinstsb.dll Is a file located in the system 32 folder.

Try unzipping the download into a file on the desktop
Open the folder

open 3DXware
double click on 3Dconnexion 3DxWare.msi

Does the 3dx driver install?

Make sure Inventor and all applications are not running.
Run the installation choose custom
Uncheck the Inventor plugin.
The Spaceball 4000 Serial devices do not use the plugin.
Inventor will still recognize the device
You can use the 3dcontrol panel to map the buttons etc.

No, you would still install the 3dx driver.
With the driver loaded and running
Open Catia
It should identify the Navigator and load there built in plugin.

The only issues I have seen was if there was a firewall running and it blocked the CNEXT file.
