I think 2.5 does not work yet with 3dx devices. One must use 2.49 (Windows). Everybody with a 3dx device is waiting for the final 2.5 version.

just a thought. Do moderators, developers, etc. from 3dconnexion never use autoCAD? Do people from Autodesk never use 3dx devices?

good to hear. Until then, I use Universal Cosmonaut to map arrow keys to 3dx devices. Both 3dx and UC driver are running, and the arrow keys you have mapped in the 3dx driver will be recognized by the software. You can map the arrow keys in UC, but they will be valid for every software, or you can c...

I like the program too, and it would be nice to have it on Vista or W7, and for 64-bit as well. But it seems that it is discontinued and will only remain available for XP x86.

thanks for the tip. The game makes very good use of this sensitive controller. Very much fun to play, one of the very few games I can recommend to children.

I have no knowledge at all about this, but maybe a look at UniversalCosmonaut could shed some light into this. It seems that the developer had no problems with accessing the six axes of 3dx devices with his application.

you can zoom and pan with the SpaceNavigator in the 3dx viewer. Very useful, although I use other viewers as well. I wish it was present in Vista too.

another member had the idea to use the up/down menu keys for switching profiles. Someone from the 3dConnexion team said it would be considered in future drivers. I would also like it, although not necessarily.

I tested now this registry method, and it works fine. Thanks again for the tip. Although, in the case of SpacePilot, it only saves/transfers the first page. If one has more than one page, they have to be configured manually.

Re: SP Pro ideas...

hi Magic Man, I am so free to comment your suggestions: The icons representing the state of the 3 cap axis buttons should be ordered the other way to better match the ordering of the buttons. yes, definitely. Not a big issue of course, and I'm sure it will be corrected in future drivers. Any chance ...

I don't know which version of Gimp you were using. I recently installed v.2.6.7, and found under Preferences>Input Controllers a Directx input controller. The axes are interpreted as key-down commands, so there is no gradual scrolling or zooming possible like in Photoshop, but it is better than noth...
