could you check in 3dxware, when you have focus on 3dsmax what preset does it load? hover the mouse over it and see what ".scg" preset is loaded.

i've installed the 3dsmax 2008 demo too.

you have to manually copy the 3dxstd.dlu from plugins folder and the 3DxStudio.ms from scripts/startup folder from 3dsmax 9 installation to 3dsmax 2008 folders. it seems to work just fine.

i've just reviewed the Max 2008 demo videos (http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/item?siteID=123112&id=9997279) and a major update regards viewport performance and adaptive degradation. i'd like to make a request for the driver/plugin team to support adaptive degradation in the future versions ...

i've seen it happen once in a while after my last post on this thread. it completely dissapears from windows, it's not detected anymore. if you keep it unplugged for a while it will be recognised again (maybe some capacitors get discharged, who knows what's in there...). i'm sure it's a hardware pro...

someone offers to help and you refuse it. then fix it yourself, like you should have done in the first place.

or open source it, i'm sure it'll be fixed in a week or so.

it takes too much space on a 19" display. if you make a smaller floater with just on/off indication i could keep it open all times. or make a macro button i could drag to a toolbar.

acrobat 3d toolkit is a rebranding of right hemisphere's deep exploration, they just bought the rights to distribute it with acrobat, it's not adobe's software. if deep exploration supports SN acrobat toolkit will.

i can't tell what i was doing since i only see it's not working who knows how long after it has disabled itself.

if you could flash the icon or change the color of the SN control panel in the taskbar when it's disabled we could catch the event before it

i'm getting this bug again in the latest driver (v4.4 max plugin). it not often, not even once a day but it happens.

i'd make a driver without that option at all. or at least a build without it for people that never want to disable the SN like myself.
