Assertions had been given in this post that generic support would be forthcoming in the 3DxLabs beta of the new driver. I quote: I am contemplating on having a Windows 7 x32/x64 bit driver/user configurable interface developed for the Spacenavigator. The package would mirror RBC9’s application. The ...

Great news on official generic drivers !
From another post I am contemplating on having a Windows 7 x32/x64 bit driver/user configurable interface developed for the Spacenavigator. The package would mirror RBC9’s application. The features you are asking for are in the next 3DxWare release. This has been in closed beta for the last 6 weeks....

The features you are asking for are in the next 3DxWare release. This has been in closed beta for the last 6 weeks. Just came back here on my monthly check of the situation regarding generic drivers, and am VERY pleasantly surprised on this change of heart. Great to hear, great work for the people ...

Well, I think he means to ask why there isn't support for Luxology's Modo, a 3D modeller/renderer. Because of this his Space Navigator is now collecting dust next to his laptop. And now you can cut and past your standard answer that support for the Space Navigator is supposed to be built in by the d...

Yes, that is crying for a decent 6DOF controller. We did support for a similar game called Descent many years ago. Decent was 15 years ago, guys.. So that must have been with the SpaceOrb 360 ? The thing that failed because DOS didn't have a generic multi-axes driver model ? So every game needed to...

So, 3dConnexion still hasn't reacted to 40 pages clamoring for a generic driver ? With this thread getting 50% of the posts in all of these forums, it can't be because 3Dconnexxion didn't get the message, but that their leash has been janked by their Logitech masters. Well, thats it, no more Logitec...

Consolidated from another thread
Recently I have aquired a SpaceNavigator, and must say it's a great tool for applications that support it (in my case Photoshop CS3, Cinema 4D and Sketchup), but feel it's full potential is being let down because of lack of generic support. I fully understand the advantages of native implementations...

Previously, on the 3DConnexion forums
AAARRRGGHHHH! Again and again YOUR CUSTOMERS ask for a generic driver and again and again you point them to other software houses to do YOUR JOB. Can't you see that we don't just want to use the controller in specific applications? So you produce an API, great for high end apps like CAD etc. I am n...
