Re: Plans for a keyboard?

Actually a keyboard with the option to snap-in 3D mice on each side would be ideal, maybe snap in 2 of these https://www.3dconnexion.com/company/industrial.html Being able to replace the puck-shaped cap with a 2DMouse housing with buttons and scroll-wheel would be an interesting option. Could call i...

Re: Plans for a keyboard?

Should make one with a 3D Mouse on both the left and right. A 3DMouse could be used for mutliple actions, just some examples: -3D Manipulation -Pointer control with vertical being mousescroll and tilts being button presses -Video jog wheel Imagine the possibilities: -left hand 3DMouse for 3DManipula...

Re: Spacenavigator for Gaming

I wish I could buy one of these industrial 3D mice for desktop/laptop use (with a good clamp) https://www.3dconnexion.com/company/industrial.html About 10 newtons force through 1.5 mm throw (one direction?) About 0.171 newton-meters torque through 6deg twist (one direction?) By comparison the SpaceN...

Re: Does KMJ emulator still work?

Back in 2011 I had many games working with the KMJ driver (just a few mentioned on this thread) http://www.jaycrowe.com/phpbb3/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=52&p=1207 Now https://www.3dconnexion.com/games is gone (only had 3 games in it) And I don't even have access to the game profile threads I made ...

Re: Spacenavigator for Gaming

Like non-Space Navigators, your GameNavigator contraption uses one's wrist to clamp the device down onto the desk. Though without all of the buttons which I personally rarely use as I don't want to remove my hand from the puck, instead I use my other hand to press buttons either on the keyboard (ton...

Re: Does KMJ emulator still work?

Overload (same developers who made Descent 1&2) are using rewired for input. http://guavaman.com/projects/rewired/docs/SupportedControllers.html Scrolling down to "Controllers not supported at all" It says "Controllers not supported by Raw Input, Direct Input, or XInput on Windows...

Re: HTML5 Gamepad API Doesn't work in FF

It works on Chromium browsers (Chrome and Opera) because the Chromium engine accesses controllers via Raw Input. If FF and other browsers would also have GamePad API access Raw Input then it would work there as well. That JavaScript joystick plugin was merely a stop-gap until GamePad API arrived. Ga...

Re: Documentation for the 3Dconnexion Navigation Library Ser

With GamePad API no plugins are required. Checkout on http://html5gamepad.com/ on Chromium browsers (Chrome,Opera) on Windows, you can independently monitor all USB HID devices like 3DMice simultaneously, just make sure you press the controller button to activate. (BTW you might see an unknown devic...

Re: Space Navigator Premiere Pro Timeline

Drats, I thought it would just involve changing a line or 2 in the XML file to port to other OSs, with only minor incompatibilities such as no right mouse click on the Mac. Keycodes I'm pretty sure are cross-platform though, being USB-HID codes. Just found out that you can press ctrl mouse click to ...

Re: Space Navigator Premiere Pro Timeline

I would assume that the 3DMouse XML format is the same across platforms. The keycodes should be the same across platforms. Instead of Adobe Premiere Pro.exe I think it would be a file that ends in .dmg. I'm not sure where the XML files go on Macs, maybe someone here familiar with Macs can assist. I ...

Re: Google Earth street view?

I have combined Google Streetview with AGI Cesium, controlled with a 3DMouse, though this was just a test, I haven't added it to the webapp yet. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yAetu_eeFHU&index=17&list=PLu7ubzox5Ny6JIhF_tfsOuCMDtsro6ENh I did this with Google Earth Plugin also https://www.y...

Re: SpaceNavigator works with Chrome but not with Firefox

GamePad API isn't a very good name as it actually covers more than just gamepads. Gamepad API gives webpages access to inputs of many types of controllers. The Chromium engine that powers Chrome and Opera browsers access 3DMice via Raw Input. Apparently Mozilla doesn't have a Raw Input solution. I d...

Re: Antique Spacemice Hardware/Software

The SpaceOrb is a definite improvement in button arrangement from the Avenger. The thumb can simultaneously control a pair of buttons, either D&F or C&E. The forefinger can also simultaneously control A&B. Such as -just A with the tip of the finger -just B with the joint of the finger -b...

Re: Antique Spacemice Hardware/Software

A 12 DOF ScreenMan would be great for productivity work on the go. Place it on a stand so at times you can free a hand for the touch screen. Instead of switching between controlling the camera and controlling an object you could do both at the same time, which is a feature I plan to add to a program...
