Hello khornocker - A 'Please insert Disk 1 ...' error means there is 3Dconnexion software installed on your PC that is no longer linked to its uninstall information. To remove it use the steps here . Since Windows cannot complete the uninstall, begin with the second part of Step #2 - the manual remo...

Re: Teamcenter Visulization Mockup 10.1 no rotations

Hello dauber65 -

Occasionally an issue like this can be caused by a corrupted profile. If you are still seeing a problem with Vis Mockup tilt/spin/roll, you can return 3DxWare to its default settings with the steps here to clear the profiles.

Re: Inventor & AutoCad

Hello simonb - Inventor and AutoCAD both have the support for 3D mice built in by AutoDesk. This means that the applications should be able to recognize that a 3D device is available. Is your device working in the demos ? [Start|All programs|3Dconnexion|Demos - JetDemo] Which 3D mouse and which appl...

Re: Advanced settings and active application issue

Hello MichalGacz , The Space Navigator uses a plug-in that is part of the 3Dconnexion driver package to recognize 3DsMax. With the plug-in installed, 3DxWare automatically switches to the 3DsMax profile as soon as 3DsMax becomes the active window. Are you opening 3Dconnexion Properties with the 3DsM...

Re: SpaceNavigator, SolidWorks and MS Remote Desktop

Hello MadMechanic -

Microsoft Remote Desktop does not forward the output from 3D devices.

You wouldneed remote software like HP RGS that does forward the SpaceMouse Pro output as described here.

Re: Spacenavigator highlighting everything in Solidworks?!

Hello whitworth - Was navigation previously working correctly in SolidWorks assemblies - not causing the problem with dynamic highlighting ? If it was, there could be a problem as with a profile that could be corrected by returning the configurations to defaults as shown here . We have a lot of Solid...

Re: SpacePilot Pro doesn't work in 3ds max

Hello vardaness - It is important that 3DsMax is closed when you install or repair the 3DxWare driver so the 3DsMax add-in can be installed. Windows requires the same permissions for an add-in as for the application. If 3DsMax is using elevated permissions [Run as administrator] then 3Dxware require...

Re: Spacenavigator highlighting everything in Solidworks?!

Hello whitworth - The Dynamic Highlight function in 3DxSolidWorks is meant to turn off dynamic highlighting while your device is moving the model or part then re-enable it when movement stops. The option to turn off the Dynamic Highlight in 3DxSolidworks is not present in the 3DxWare user interface....

Re: new SM pro user, but .xml ignorant

Hello mooshim - You don't need to edit .xml files to use the Space Mouse Pro in Photoshop - it just needs to have the 3DxPhotoshop plugin installed. Run the 3DxWare installer again with Photoshop closed and choose Modify > Repair. You should see the 3DxPhotoshop.8li plugin in your Photoshop plugins ...

Re: 3dConnexion Mouse settings reset? Help?

Hello Tyler - From your description it sounds like you are using 3DxSoftware which is now a legacy driver rather than the current 3Dxware driver. I can tell you how to save SolidWorks settings using 3DxSoftware - but you can also solve the problem by switching to the current driver. In 3DxSoftware t...

Hello jweb05 - If you have had a previous driver installed , uninstall that first from Windows Control Panel > Programs and Features. When the uninstall completes check that the 3Dconnexion folders are removed from both C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files [x86]. When you download the driver, if th...

Re: maya 2009 can't load the plugin file

Hello my88036 - A permissions mis-match can cause this error. Win 7 and 8 require an add-in to have the same permissions level as its application. If Maya 9 was installed using 'Run as administrator' the 3DxWare installation will need the same permissions. If Maya is using elevated permissions [Run ...

Re: Office apps not working with Spacepilot Pro

Hello secret player = Pan and zoom navigation in MSOffice apps and in web browsers is part of the current 3DxWare driver. All that is needed is to make sure you are using the current 3Dxware driver from our Downloads page. The older driver [3DxSoftware] did not include navigation in MSOffice apps an...

Re: Photoshop pan, zoom and rotate simultaneously

Hello xbo - For 3D navigation - to be able to pan, zoom and rotate at the same time - you need to be in the 3D menu in Photoshop. The Photoshop Extended versions like CS5 Extended and CS6 Extended as well as Photoshop CC versions have a 3D menu with options like 'Postcard from Layer' and 'Shape from...
