Same here. Space navigator is dead in Maya 2018 with new 10.5 drivers. Not yet. Problem didn't occured since, but when it will, I'll try your suggestion.

I forgot to mention. During the bug I am only able to laggy zoom in and out, and nothing else.

Spacenavigator thinks Maya 2017 is Autocad whenever I click inside viewport. This behaviour corect itself if I click lets say hypershade or any other window outside of viewport, but than again it broke when I go back to vieport which is a must since there is my scene.
