Brian, The left and right buttons on the Space Navigator can be configured by using the menus in the 3dx control panel. However, the left and right buttons cannot be configured to duplicate the command issued by pressing the center mouse button (I am assuming that you mean the scroll wheel button on...

adml_shake,
Yes, the log-in profile must have full admin rights when the driver is initially installed.
Also, in the 3d connexion control panel, under the OPTIONS menue, make certain that AUTOMATICALLY SAVE CONFIGURATIONS is selected.

Bweig,
If you have not already done so, check and see if the Acrobat plug-in is installed. If so, uninstall it from within Wndows Add/Remove Programs.

Martinp, I was able to duplicate the issue that you have described. As long as the 3dx driver is running, and SolidWorks is open (with a file open), even if you open another app (like Windows Explorer) and select that app as "active", there will still be device functionality in SolidWorks ...

SB5000 serial devices

CSA,
If your SB5000 is a SERIAL device, it will not function with a 64bit operating system.
Please also note that a SERIAL to USB adapter IS NOT an acceptable alternative.

Motion controller speed setings

Dale, Motion speed can be adjusted within the 3d connexion control panel. The frame rate of the video card would effect motion of the model depending on the capabilities of the video card. The default settings of the motion controller are "dynamic". That is to say, the faster or more aggre...

Dear Elwood,
Serial devices (from 3D Connexion) were not engineered to function with the Windows 64bit operating system. Only USB devices are fully 64bit compatible.

SB3003

Sphere,
Sorry that you are having a problem with your SB3003.
Unfortunately, these are legacy devices and are no longer supported with updated drivers.
Also, 3D Connexion serial devices were never meant to be used with a serial to USB adapter.

Giromax,
Thanks for the question. With the Space Pilot, the "3d lock" button and the "sensitivity" button (I will assume that you are referring to the "plus and minus "rocker" button) are not configurable (as are the other buttons).
