Re: Windows 10 using 10.8.4 driver, System tray, doesn't have option to disable LED
Update to Windows CLI/fart method. With 3DConnexion's Advanced Settings update, Global.xml is now indented, and one line of code is inserted or deleted to toggle the LED: <LEDsEnabled>false</LEDsEnabled> @echo off title 3Dx_LEDs_toggle :: This batch script requires fart.exe to be in the same folder,...

Re: Windows 10 using 10.8.4 driver, System tray, doesn't have option to disable LED
Andre- your script works well, thanks much! Note for others who want to try it - you'll need to install the Python interpreter. I updated my cmd/fart batch script to combine the "initialize" function and make the toggle function more reliable, and xml-case-insensitive to be compatible with...

Re: difference between 3DX-700059 and 3DX-700028
I just received the 3DX-700059 (SpaceMouse Compact). The general dimensions and weight are approximately the same. The stainless steel base tapers a bit more, so the side buttons are about 3 mm closer together. The side buttons are not rubberized (which isn't an issue), and have a slightly more audi...

Re: Spacenavigator - can't find calibrate option
The calibration and LED controls have been removed from 3DxSmartUi. I haven't read anything from 3DConnexion that gives any reasons for this. The same thing seems to be true when asked about the differences between the discontinued SpaceNavigator and the SpaceMouse Compact. That said, I haven't had ...

Re: Windows 10 using 10.8.4 driver, System tray, doesn't have option to disable LED
I don't know how to edit a published post, so I'm re-posting here. I forgot to add back in a goto:eof in the toggle batch file. I got tired of directly editing Global.xml and wrote a couple of simple batch files that use fart.exe (https://sourceforge.net/projects/fart-it/). I mapped the "toggle...

Re: Windows 10 using 10.8.4 driver, System tray, doesn't have option to disable LED
I got tired of directly editing Global.xml and wrote a couple of simple batch files that use fart.exe ( https://sourceforge.net/projects/fart-it/ ). I mapped the "toggle" file as an application to a keyboard button in Logitech Options. 3DxLEDinitialize.bat: This one just adds <LEDsEnabled>...

Re: 8 sections radial menu barely usable :(
I renamed User_Defined_Macros.png -> User_Defined_Macros1.png. That didn't bring back the RM text. However, the radial menus are using a different graphic for Macro, now: C:\Program Files\3Dconnexion\3DxWare\3DxWinCore\Cfg\Images\3DxService\keyboard.png. Renaming or deleting that one works for me. B...

Re: Windows 11
I wear a few hats at work. That’s about right on the Creo costs, but Altium Designer maintenance is about 17% of the new license cost, so not near that much per seat.

Re: Windows 11
I upgraded (as in, didn't install from scratch - but my Win 10 install was fairly fresh) this month, and then went Insider Dev Channel, as it looked like a lot of the new activity was bug fixes. Here are a few quick observations of the experience so far: No issues for me, but also no noticeable prod...

Re: Scrolling Behavior
Thanks! By the way, I needed to also add the HIDMouse_Wheel Action for Rx, otherwise no vertical scrolling. Here's both: <Axis> <Enabled>true</Enabled> <Input> <ActionID>HIDMultiAxis_Rx</ActionID> <Min>-512</Min> <Max>511</Max> </Input> <Output> <ActionID>HIDMouse_Wheel</ActionID> </Output> </Axis> ...

Re: CorelDRAW panning?
Dominant mode didn't seem to help with this. I haven't tried the deadband tweak yet. Here are the initial I/O log events for CorelDRAW, ending with the first SendKeyRelease. I see that the first SendKeyPress is occurring 0.113s after the first KMJTrans:UdTransSendEvent. I'm not sure how to interpret...

Re: Scrolling Behavior
Just to clarify, I modified the inheritance in my Roaming Notepad++ profile -> ID_Default_KMJ_Cfg, and added the output action for Ry -> Shift+HIDMouse_Wheel.
No mods to C:\Program Files\3Dconnexion\3DxWare\3DxWinCore\Cfg\Notepad++.xml.

Re: Scrolling Behavior
It seemed like a Notepad++ naming issue was still in effect several weeks ago, so I had a Notepad++ profile in Roaming with the filename NotepadPluPlus.xml. However, that wasn't functioning, either, so I deleted it and allowed Properties to create a new xml. I noticed that the ExecutableName tweak t...

CorelDRAW panning?
I'm trying to map horizontal and vertical screen panning in CorelDRAW to Ry and Rx, respectively, but there seems to be a small delay before the modifier is applied, so zoom is also initially invoked. I've done this successfully in MS Visio (horizontal panning) with the following code: <Axis> <Enabl...
