I do have the latest drivers. I haven't tested them all, but I know you can't clear buttons 5-10.

SolidWorks 2009 & SpacePilot Pro: Can't clear buttons

In the Button Mapping dialog, not all button functions can be cleared via double-click.

It looks like the 3Dx software now recognizes any macros for which a button was created. Good work. Next stop, functional rotational center!

Unfortunately, it almost doesn't matter to me anymore whether they fix this or not because I will only use version 3.7.12. Anything newer has the screwed up configuration menu that won't let you assign macros to SpacePilot buttons.

Spike, as was stated several times already, that only works in previous versions of 3Dx software (before 3.7.16).

The last line should read: 5 out of 6 buttons on my SpacePilot were mapped to macros. Until this is fixed I'll be going back to the previous software version where this wasn't an issue. I was hoping not to have to do this so I could take advantage of any improvements made to the latest 3Dx driver, b...

Thanks for the reply, Robert. Can you please let us know which commands are missing for you? Like I said earlier, it's not a specific command that is missing. What's missing is any custom macro or button created by the user. Previously, if you added a button to the macro toolbar, you could then acce...

Robert, 3Dx's Custom Functions are limited to recording keyboard input. So, in order to use your steps A-E I would have to map a keyboard shortcut to every macro I want to assign to a SpacePilot button. I suppose this is possible, but it's also a tedious and unnecessary step that was not necessary p...

Andrei, Thanks for attempting to help, but your method does not work. 1) I'm not looking to use a built-in function like Sketch. I want access to custom macros that I've written for SW. If it's a built-in SW function I can probably access it through existing menus. 2) Your method as written no longe...

What happened to my SolidWorks macros?

Previous to version 2.13.0 of the SolidWorks add-in (3DxWare 3.7.16), I was able to assign custom macros to my SpacePilot's buttons. This was accomplished by creating buttons for these macros on an unused toolbar (e.g. the Screen Capture toolbar). The macros attached to those buttons could then be a...

SolidWorks Sketch Configuration

Having an automatic configuration for part/assembly/drawing is great, but the package isn't complete without a separate configuration for sketching. I know I can setup a secondary configuration with all my sketch commands, but it's not as convenient as having the 3Dx software sense when I've entered...

I'm not designing aero or auto structures anytime soon, so using CATIA is out for now. I don't know why it's so hard getting software enhanced around here. If I had the source code for the SW addin I'd add the features myself. Unfortunately, I don't have the time to code a full blown addin myself. H...

I already use Auto Rotation Center, and it doesn't have the effect that its name implies. It seems to just change the rotation center to the model's geometric center. Working with small portions of a model is not any easier with the option enabled.
